CT is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. This role supports the Director of Finance in managing day-to-day administrative financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, expense management, audit preparation, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across departments.

The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Director of Finance and the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, HR, and Finance to maintain accurate records, improve financial processes, and generate timely reports that support organizational decision-making. This role will also collaborate with the Development, Operations, and Human Resources teams to support cross-functional financial tasks.

The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally. 

ACT seeks an experienced Civic Engagement Director to manage its civic engagement initiatives in Pennsylvania, New York, and DC/MD/VA chapters, including anticipation of expanding our political participation in a 501(c)(4) sister organization. The Civic Engagement Director will be responsible for designing, training, implementing, and managing programs in voter registration, voter education, and Get Out the Vote efforts and leading activities, such as door-to-door canvassing and phone banking, in our chapter locations as needed. This position works collaboratively with ACT’s Chapter Directors and Executive Director to advance our mission, goals, and objectives.

ACT is seeking an experienced and dedicated staff attorney with demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural groups to join our legal team. The Staff Attorney will provide a range of legal services to ACT members and African immigrant communities in New York City, including petitions for alien relatives, naturalization, adjustment of status and more. This position will report to the Director of Immigration Legal Services and collaborate with other legal and programmatic personnel to advance the Chapter's goals and objectives.

ACT is seeking a skilled and dynamic grassroots organizer to join our organizing team. This role will be instrumental in driving ACT’s base-building and leadership development efforts within African immigrant communities in New York. The Lead Organizer will be responsible for leading and managing the New York Chapter’s grassroots organizing and advocacy campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels. This includes supervising a team of organizers, supporting membership growth and retention, implementing campaign strategies and building external partnerships to raise awareness about ACT's mission.

This position will be supervised by the NY Chapter Director and will work closely with the Assistant Organizing Director to advance the chapter's goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and extensive experience in organizing immigrant and BIPOC communities.
