African Communities Together (ACT) is recruiting a team of canvassers in preparation for the November midterm elections. The Field Canvasser will have an instrumental part in implementing ACT's nonpartisan 501(c)(3) civic engagement program in priority districts across the state. They will engage in direct voter outreach, cultivate relationships with African/Black Diaspora communities, and promote voter participation in targeted Virginia districts. The ideal candidate will be interested in the electoral process and committed to impacting the future of our communities.

African Communities Together (ACT) seeks a proactive Communications Associate to assist with the daily operations of ACT's communications, which support the organization's campaigns, programs, and direct services. The Communications Associate is responsible for a variety of communications functions, including content creation, tracking analytics, and expanding our visibility and engagement with African immigrant communities. This position will report to the Communications Manager and collaborate
with teams from multiple departments across the organization to advance the mission, objectives, and goals of ACT. The ideal candidate is organized in a face-paced environment and passionate about working with African immigrants.

ACT is hiring a Federal Policy Manager to support the National Policy Director in advancing the organization's efforts to shape and influence federal immigration policies that affect African immigrant communities. This position is responsible for advancing ACT's immigration policy agenda, executing advocacy strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders. This position will report to the National Policy Director and work closely with the Lead Immigration Organizer and Chapter staff.

African Communities Together (ACT) seeks an experienced and dynamic grassroots organizer to lead our immigration campaigns. The Lead Community Organizer will drive ACT’s base-building and leadership development among African immigrants impacted by federal immigration policies and play a lead role in ACT’s national immigration policy campaigns. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in organizing immigrant and BIPOC communities.

African Communities Together (ACT) is seeking a committed and seasoned Legal Director with demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural groups to join our legal team. The Legal Director will oversee our New York Chapter's immigration legal program and provide direct immigration legal services to ACT members and African immigrant communities.

This key leadership position will report to the National Legal Director and will be responsible for supervising the legal department's personnel, including 1 paralegal, 1 legal fellow, and volunteers as well as expanding ACT's New York legal program, which includes petitions for immigrant relatives, naturalization, and status adjustment. This position collaborates with the Director of the New York Chapter and ACT's national leadership to advance the Chapter's goals and objectives.

ACT is hiring a New York State Policy Manager to lead ACT’s NY state and local policy advocacy and campaigns. ACT’s current NY state and local priorities include promoting language accessibility for African language speakers; advancing good jobs and seeking to close the “African Wage Gap”; and removing barriers to occupational licensing for African hair braiders. This position will report to the National Policy Director  and work closely with the NY organizing team and national policy staff.  

African Communities Together is seeking full time paid canvassers ahead of the November midterm election. Paid Canvassers will be responsible for engaging African/Black Diaspora voters across Pennsylvania districts and encouraging them to make plans to vote. Canvassers will represent African Communities Together and its values. Candidates should have a genuine interest in the cause and be able to convey its importance to people.

African Communities Together is seeking an experienced and dedicated staff attorney with demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural groups to join our legal team. The Staff Attorney will provide direct legal services to ACT members and African immigrant communities in Philadelphia, including petitions for alien relatives, naturalization, adjustment of status and more. This position is essential for growing our Pennsylvania ACT branch. This position will report to the National Legal Director and collaborate with other legal and programmatic personnel to advance the Chapter's goals and objectives.
